Painted as part of the "Shell Shocked" series. This series made its debut at the show opening on March 4th, 2016.

"Shell Rings, is a God's eye view, with artistic license in full force, of ancient oyster shell piles created by Native Americans indigenous to the Lowcountry of South Carolina around 4000 years ago. One of these "shell ring" discoveries near Edisto Island, SC, is, or is being considered to become, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its obvious remnants of ancient civilization."
