When I was 11 years old, my parents and I were vacationing in a friends cabin on the upper shores of Maine, in the little lobster fishing village of Corea.

One evening, around 10pm, I walked out of the house and looked to the sky and nearly fell over from the unbelievable light show happening above me. It was my first encounter with Aurora Borealis, or The Northern Lights. Every color you could imagine pulsed and blinked above me. We all stayed up and watched this wondrous site until the early hours of morning.
