" I was very interested in continuing to paint in a visually "Atmospheric" style, while still expanding my palate beyond the expected norms of the coastline. 

 

I chose a subtle collection of molten hues. Coupled with my use of neutrals as a prominent force in my work, it's as though the warm colors below our surface are slowly percolating up through frozen salt-encrusted plains."
